Terms and Conditions – Knotts Plumbing LLC
Effective Date: April 17, 2026
Governing Jurisdiction: Davidson County, North Carolina
By scheduling service, approving an estimate, or allowing work to begin, you ("Customer") agree to the following terms:
1. Scope of Work
Knotts Plumbing LLC is a plumbing contractor and performs plumbing-related services only. We do not perform roofing, drywall, tile, vapor barriers, or major concrete work.
Any work performed outside of our trade at the Customer’s request will be billed at an additional rate for labor, materials, and time.
2. Estimates and Pricing
Estimates are based on initial inspection and provided details. Pricing may change if additional issues, hidden conditions, or code violations are discovered.
Additional work requires Customer approval and will be billed accordingly.
3. Change Orders
All changes to the original scope must be approved in writing (including email or text) and are due immediately upon authorization.
4. Project Readiness and Trip Charges
Customer must notify Knotts Plumbing LLC when the project is ready for the scheduled phase.
If the site is not ready upon arrival:
5. Customer-Supplied Materials
Customer is responsible for the completeness, compatibility, and functionality of any materials they provide.
Additional labor, delays, or repeat trips caused by faulty, incorrect, or missing materials will be billed at our standard rates.
6. Layout Responsibility
Customer must provide layout details (cabinets, fixtures, appliances, etc.) prior to installation.
Failure to do so may result in additional charges for relocation, rework, or modifications.
7. Site Access and Conditions
Customer must provide safe, clear, and unobstructed access to all work areas.

8. Existing Conditions and Water Damage
Knotts Plumbing LLC is not responsible for:
Customer acknowledges that plumbing systems may contain concealed or deteriorated components that may fail during or after service.
9. Permits and Code Compliance
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Customer is responsible for permits and inspections.
Knotts Plumbing LLC is not responsible for:
10. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late Payments
A 15-day grace period applies. After 15 days, interest will accrue at 1.5% per month (18% annually), or the maximum allowed by North Carolina law, whichever is less.
Returned Payments
A $35 fee will be charged for any returned or declined payment.

12. Collections and Legal Enforcement
NOTICE OF RIGHT TO FILE LIEN:
Pursuant to Chapter 44A of the North Carolina General Statutes, Knotts Plumbing LLC reserves the right to file a Claim of Lien against the improved property for unpaid labor or materials.
Customer agrees to pay all costs of collection, including but not limited to:

Knotts Plumbing LLC reserves the right to stop work immediately if:
Customer remains responsible for all work performed up to that point.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knotts Plumbing LLC’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Knotts Plumbing LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:
16. Media, Documentation, and Advertising
Knotts Plumbing LLC may document work performed via photographs and/or video for quality control, documentation, insurance purposes, and dispute resolution.
Customer grants Knotts Plumbing LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use such media for marketing and advertising purposes.
We will make reasonable efforts to exclude personal identifying information; however, complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed.
Customers may opt out of marketing use by providing written notice prior to the start of work.
17. Dispute Resolution and Venue
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Davidson County, North Carolina, and both parties consent to jurisdiction in such courts.
18. Entire Agreement
This document, together with any signed estimates or written agreements, constitutes the entire agreement.
No verbal agreements shall be binding unless reduced to writing
